How to Turn Conversations On and Off in BOKBOK (Activity Log)

In the Activity log, BOKBOK lets you quickly mark each conversation as Active or Inactive with a small on/off switch. This guide shows you where to find that toggle and how to use it to control the status of your chat sessions.

Step 1: Go to the Activity Log for a Chatbot

First, sign in to BOKBOK and open your dashboard. From your list of chatbots, click on the chatbot whose conversations you want to review.

Inside the chatbot detail page, you'll see several tabs at the top (such as Chat, Activity, Analytics, Sources, etc.). Click on the Activity tab. This opens the Activity log, which shows all chat sessions for that chatbot.

Step 2: Understand the Chat Logs List

On the left side (especially on desktop), you'll see a panel titled Chat Logs. This contains a list of sessions, each with:

  • The session title (for example, "New Chat" or "Facebook Chat - ...").
  • The date and time the conversation started.
  • A small toggle switch that shows whether the session is Active or Inactive.

When you click on a session in this list, the full conversation appears on the right side of the screen.

Step 3: Turn a Conversation On or Off Using the Toggle

Next to each session in the Chat Logs list, you'll find a small on/off switch. It changes color and position based on the session status and controls whether the bot should keep replying in that session or stay quiet so you can step in yourself:

  • When the switch is green and the indicator is on the right, the session is marked as Active.
  • When the switch is gray and the indicator is on the left, the session is marked as Inactive.

To change the status of a session:

  1. Hover over or locate the session you want to change in the Chat Logs list.
  2. Click the toggle switch next to that session.
  3. The switch will instantly move and change color, and the label under it will update to Active or Inactive accordingly.

You can switch a session on or off at any time—there's no need to open the full conversation first.

Step 4: What Does Active or Inactive Actually Mean?

The Active/Inactive status is a simple way for you to organize and manage your chat sessions inside BOKBOK, and to decide whether the bot should keep answering that user. For example, you might:

  • Mark conversations you still need to review or follow up on as Active.
  • Mark old, completed, or unimportant conversations as Inactive.
  • Turn a session to Inactive if you want to stop automatic replies for that user and handle the responses yourself or simply block further bot interaction for that thread.

This makes it easier to see, at a glance, which chat sessions still matter for you, which ones the bot can keep handling, and which ones you have decided to "turn off" so the user only gets a reply if you answer manually.

Step 5: Tips When You Have Lots of Conversations

When your chatbot receives many messages every day, the Activity log can fill up quickly. Here are a few ideas for using the on/off toggle effectively:

  • At the end of the day, go through new conversations and turn off (set to Inactive) any chats that don't need more attention or where you want to stop automatic replies.
  • Keep only a small set of important conversations marked as Active so you can find them faster.
  • Combine the platform filter (All, New Chat, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.) with the toggle to get a clean view for each channel.

Small Switch, Big Control

The Activity log in BOKBOK is more than just a list of chats—it gives you simple tools like the Active/Inactive toggle to stay in control of many conversations at once.

By regularly turning sessions on or off based on their importance, you can keep your Activity log organized, avoid missing follow-ups, and get a much clearer view of how people are talking to your chatbot across different channels.
