On this page, you'll find tips to enhance the quality of your AI agent's responses. Learn how to refine prompts, optimize AI agent settings, and analyze behavior to deliver clearer, more effective, and engaging interactions.
Refine the AI agent's Instructions
The instructions determine how your AI agent behaves and responds. To ensure your bot only answers questions based on the provided documents, clearly specify this in the instructions. For example, you can write: "You will only provide answers based on the information in the documents."
The default instruction is:
I want you to act as a support agent. Your name is "AI Assistant." You will provide answers only from the given information. If the answer is not included, say exactly "Hmm, I am not sure." and stop. Refuse to answer any question not related to the provided information. Never break character.
Ensure Readability of Uploaded Data Sources
The quality of your AI agent's responses depends on the clarity of the data sources you provide. BOKBOK uses readable text to generate responses, so make sure websites or PDFs contain accessible text. BOKBOK cannot process videos, images, or other non-text elements in documents.
Some websites may be difficult to scrape; if your AI agent cannot answer questions about your website, this could be the reason. You can work around this by copying and pasting text directly into a document or uploading it as a PDF.
Utilize the "Revise" Feature and Q&A Data Type
The "revise" feature is available from the dashboard in your conversation history. It allows you to adjust responses.
If you are not satisfied with how your AI agent answered a specific query, use this feature to edit the corresponding question and answer. Note that this can only be done for up to 10 responses to improve future interactions. Additionally, using the Q&A data type can help your AI agent provide more accurate answers by referencing pre-set questions and responses.
Create a Document Mapping Website URLs to Page Names
If your AI agent generates incorrect URLs that result in 404 errors, create a PDF mapping all the correct URLs to their page names. This is especially useful for websites with multiple pages. Providing such a mapping helps your AI agent better understand queries related to specific pages.
You can also include these links in a Q&A format and follow the previous suggestions to improve response accuracy.
